GROW Facilitator
Following the success of our Outdoor Club we collaborated with our charity partner GROW to host a late evening stay on the farm.
The young people aged 11 to 18 cooked a three-course over an open-fire meal, had time to reflect on their experiences, and to bond.

A GROW facilitator said: “The extended session gave the young people a longer time to settle in and for deeper reflection. Being able to cook a 3-course meal was really special and provided a great opportunity for accomplishment and pride. It also allowed for a quiet and peaceful time, which felt important for the young people's wellbeing."
“In the reflection time Child E said she felt grateful to know Child N and to have her as her best friend. Child E said she was glad she’d stayed, and Child N really came out of their shell. Child R was happy, connected, and welcoming.
“Child R kept saying how happy he was. He exclaimed it was the best day ever many times over. He kept asking other people how they felt and how much they were enjoying the day They all said they would like to do it again.”
